Feather Boas for New Year’s Eve
We saw Harry Styles in a feather boa at the Grammys back in March, and now we’re convinced that feather boas don’t need to be confined to the dressing up box anymore! Adding a feather boa to an outfit can bring a bit of fun and glamour to any occasion. With feather boas making a comeback, we’re thinking about following Harry’s lead and adding a feather boa to our New Year’s Eve outfits.

We love the understated cream colour to complement a glitzy outfit or the bright pink or bottle green for a fun pop of colour. We also think the dusty pink feather boa would look great with a black dress. If you’re planning on hosting a party this New Year’s Eve, you could hand out feather boas in various colours as party favours for your guests. Make sure that you shake the feather boa gently to remove excess feathers – this will also mean you lose fewer feathers when you wear it.
Another use for feather boas is for trims on jackets and coats. Take a feather boa and cut it up, and add the pieces to the cuffs or collar of your jacket for a fun update to your wardrobe. You can use this trick to upcycle old handbags, too. All you need is a needle and thread!
